211 pages, illustrated, covering the history of art and art education and its involvement with industry, from the times of the middles ages and Renaissance across the countries of Europe. With recommendations to improve the art education in the United States in order to improve the skills of the craftsman and the output of our industry. Binding is good, interior is clean except for minor foxing to the front including the title page. Embossed gilded cover is still very good, with some edgewear to the spine ends and corners.

Some tanning to front and rear end paper. Corners and spine have some rubbing. Vol III-Includes Properties of Pulpwood, Preparation of Pulpwood, Manufacture of Mechanical Pulp, Manufacture of Sulphite Pulp, Manufacture of Soda Pulp, Manufacture of Sulphate Pulp, Treatment of Pulp, Refining and Testing of Pulp, and Bleaching of Pulp. FEP is stamped "G.D. Jenssen Company, Incorporated" and has some pencilled notes. There are some very light pencilled notes on the inside of the rear cover and on some of the pages. Some rubbing to the corners and spine. Vol IV-Includes Preparation of Rag and Other Fibers, Treatment of Waste Papers, Beating and Refining, Loading and Engine Sizing, Coloring, and Paper-Making Machines. FEP stamped "G.D. Jenssen Company, Incorporated" & "March 18 1948". FEP also has a small pencilled note. Corners and spine have some rubbing.
