What a rare find! The previous owner participated in this Science Fiction & Fantasy conference and had her program signed by 8 of the illustrious participants: author Brian W. Aldiss, movie special effects legend Ray Harryhausen (remember the Sushi restaurant in Monsters Inc. ? named after Ray), Hap Henriksen-fantasy art and collectibles artist; author Colin Manlove, original fish artwork with the short inscription by famous artist james C. Christensen; James Gunn Science Fiction author and historian; Frederik Pohl Science Fiction author and editor; and Gregory Benford-physicist, astronomer and Science Fiction writer. 48 pages. Some tanning to both covers and one 1" tear along top edge of rear cover (repaired with japanese tissue). Program contains bios on most of the signers who were speakers and participants. Also lists other association leaders and participants as well as the schedule for the 5 day conference. The cover also has a 4" x 4" b/w illustration by James Christensen. Inquiries welcomed.

Very nice copy of this rare novel about the Mulligans of Mulligan alley in the Sixth Ward of New York City. 451 pages. Light cover soiling from use, interior frontispiece tissue has some light foxing otherwise interior is clean, binding tight. Top edge gilding still shows very well. Front cover illustration of one of the Mulligan men carrying a jug has some color flecked away in the brown suit and the white shirt near the waist, but still shows well.

Also included are the inner flaps of DJ w/ $3.00 price. There is some sunning to the spine and a liquid stain on the top page edge that intrudes for most of the book downward approx. 1/8 to 1/4" (coffee? ) On the title page is an inauthentic Ayn Rand signature dated 1947.

This novel includes Kirk, Spock and a mind-reading and mind-altering alien who disrupts Spock's life by subtly atering Spock's brain. This leads to Spock making uncharacteristic mistakes. Rare early work by this collectible author. Some light to moderate foxing to covers and endpapers and page edges, Interior is clean. Color cover by Signe Landon. B/W fainzine typical illustrations throughout.

INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR AND DATED Nov. 2, 1927, Dallas, Texas. Western novel by this leading Texas woman, who was well educated, wrote "The Wind" a novel about the plight of the prairie women, which was made into a famous silent film. She was also associated with J. Frank Dobie and was President of the Texas Folklore Society in 1914-15. Book is in wonderful VG++ condition. Another story, 456 pgs. about a tough frontier woman, and extremely scarce in any condition. A wonderful find for the Texana collector. Her first novel, rare, was about the plight of black Southern sharecroppers.

Book is in excellent condition! Big Sky was made into a movie in 1952 starring Kirk Douglas, done by Howard Hawks. No writing inside, pages are clean and tight. Cover is grey-blue cloth, DJ off white with blue sky and green treeline. The title is in green in the sky and the author is in blue in the trees. Very little wear to cover. DJ has some age coloration on spine and edges. 1 inch tear at top of DJ on back, tiny tears to top edge of DJ. Bottom edge of spine chipped. Page edges have minor insect damage. Overall this book is in great shape! A great find for someone in need of the lg. type, rare!
